Today was my first bike free day since my start in Bern, Switzerland. My wife and I did some sightseeing in Wien (Vienna).
I visited the 40 rooms of castle Schönbrunn where Maria Theresia and later Franz Joseph I of Austria and Elisabeth of Bavaria (Sisi) lived.
We also were at the natural history museum. It has the hugest collection I ever saw of archaeological artifacts, fossils, meteorites, minerals and many other things. And we only looked at the first floor. A second floor about animals living on our planet is still to be discovered another time. One of the highlights was the Venus of Willendorf. We were at the archaeological site a few days ago in Willendorf and now we could admire the real Venus in the museum.
